Park Notice
- Barron Canyon Road: Barron Canyon Road is unmaintained and in poor condition. Algonquin Provincial Park discourages the use of this road, at this time. Use at your own risk and please drive with caution.
- Centennial Ridge Trail Road is closed for the winter.
Closed due to flooding:
- Whiskey Rapids Trail
- Western Uplands (West Gate)
- Tea Lake picnic area
Provoking Falls Bridge Closure:
- The Provoking Falls bridge on the Highland Backpacking Trail is CLOSED due to safety concerns. The bridge has been removed. A re-route has been posted and provided, it will add an additional 2.5 km.

Park Notice
- The Mew Lake Campground Office is open daily! Firewood is ONLY available for purchase during office hours.
- Firewood is also available for purchase at the East Gate and West Gate during office hours.
- Unfortunately, there is no warming tent at Mew Lake Campground this year. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Mew Lake Campground Office:
- Sunday – Thursday: 9:30 am – 5:00 pm
- Friday – Saturday: 9:30 am – 6:00 pm

For backcountry users beginning or ending their trip at Lake Opeongo (access point 11), please note that the Opeongo Access Point Office is permanently closed as of April 1, 2026. Visitors requiring information or permits can visit the East or West Gates, or call the information line at: 705-633-5572.
-Lake of Two Rivers Campground Office:
Please note that the Lake of Two Rivers Campground Office is permanently closed as of April 1, 2026. Visitors requiring information, permits, or firewood can visit the Mew Lake Campground Office, or call the information line at: 705-633-5572.
Park Notice
Until backcountry camping is open you cannot make backcountry reservations and there are no first-come, first-served campsites. This applies to both backpacking and paddling.
