Join Park Staff at Mattawa's annual Voyageur Days Festival and take a ride in the Big Canoe. Tours start at 10:00am and go until 3:30pm, with a short break from 12pm-1pm. Tours leave from the municipal dock in downtown Mattawa every 30 minutes. Tours are first come, first served. The canoe seats 10 participants per tour.

Yoga in the Park

Join Colleen Jones from Yoga North to stretch, move, and relax in a 1-hour basic yoga session on the beach to reap all the benefits time spent in nature can bring!

Samuel de Champlain Provincial Park is excited to have Marc Audet preforming Forgotten Memories of The Ottawa Valley, the evening of Saturday August 15th at the Mattawa River Visitor Centre.

Marc Audet is a folk music singer/songwriter from the Ottawa Valley, who's songwriting interests includes writing about the history and heritage of the Ottawa Valley. His shows blend great songwriting and storytelling, creating a captivating and immersive experience for listeners. His unassuming stage presence projects a serene and introspective setting, much like the territory that he sings about. There is an authenticity in his music that draws listeners in, connecting with truth in music.

Please join us on a historical music tour of the Ottawa Valley while enjoying the spectacular natural scenery of the park.
