Join us to learn about this extreme weather event and to explore what happens in the wake of such a disturbance. By exploring this new landscape, see how the species assemblage of the park is adapting to this new landscape and learn about the fascinating process of ecological succession!

Paddle back in time in a replica Big Canoe to explore the history of the Canadian fur trade and its lasting impacts while creating lasting memories. This 3-hour tour includes a break at a hidden waterfall, giving you the chance to take photos, have a snack, or go for a swim!

There is a maximum of 10 participants per tour.

Pre-Registration is required.

Samuel de Champlain Provincial Park is excited to have Marc Audet preforming Forgotten Memories of The Ottawa Valley, the evening of Saturday August 15th at the Mattawa River Visitor Centre.

Marc Audet is a folk music singer/songwriter from the Ottawa Valley, who's songwriting interests includes writing about the history and heritage of the Ottawa Valley. His shows blend great songwriting and storytelling, creating a captivating and immersive experience for listeners. His unassuming stage presence projects a serene and introspective setting, much like the territory that he sings about. There is an authenticity in his music that draws listeners in, connecting with truth in music.
