It's alive! Rivers move and change just like us. Come discover the life story of an oxbow from just a wobble in the river's path to a vital wetland. We will be talking about our beloved local oxbows and using paint to explore the ways they grow over time.

It's clear that nature is beneficial for both our mental and physical health. Take a moment to be mindful of the feelings nature inspires. Tune into your senses as you follow the prompts on this self-guided hike. Record and celebrate your observations in the nature journal provided. All ages are welcome, though children will need support from an adult.

Use the frames provided to focus your attention - zoom in on a leaf or zoom out on a landscape -and then paint what you see. Nature’s beauty knows no limits! All ages are welcome, and no watercolour experience is necessary.

Join us for our annual Thanksgiving Weekend Pumpkin Carving Party. The fun begins at 10:00am at the Davenport Centre. Activities include pumpkin carving contest, face painting, Halloween scavenger hunt and more! Pumpkins will be provided while quantities last.

Bring your carving tools and your creativity. Judging begins at 3:00pm sharp – prizes to be awarded. Adult supervision is mandatory.

Connect with nature through songs, stories and movement with musician and storyteller, Pete Moss. Families will actively participate in songs and stories about Ontario plants, birds, wildlife and weather. Followed by family-friendly karaoke hosted by Pete.

Join us in celebrating Canada Day at Bonnechere! Activities will be held for all ages: Giant yard games, photo booth, and Canada Day crafts! Look forward to face painting (10:30 am - 1:00 pm), a sandcastle building competition (10:00 am - 11:30 am), BINGO at 1:00 pm, and a Discovery Station (2:30 pm). Popcorn and cotton candy will be available for purchase. Don’t forget your red and white and get ready to show your Canadian pride in our annual Bonnechere Canada Day Campsite Decorating Competition!
