Join Penny to explore this major site in the history and creation of the Park focusing on the years from 1880-1960. Guided walk lasts about 1 hour. Cache Lake Access Point parking lot (km 23).

Join Emily to listen to the stories of loggers from the early 1900s sawlog lumber camps. Hear about their experiences in their own words, collected and preserved through oral history interviews in the Algonquin Provincial Park Archives & Collections. Afternoon Programs are 45 minutes in length. Algonquin Visitor Centre (at km 43).

that dominate much of the Canadian landscape, but often go unnoticed. Join Kevin and Amanda to explore one of Algonquin's most unique examples of this habitat. Guided walks last about 1.5 hours. Spruce Bog Boardwalk parking lot (at km 42.5).

Join members of the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada (Toronto Centre) for a night of stargazing, on the Mew Lake beach (near sites 67, 70). If you have binoculars or a telescope, please feel free to bring them along! You will have the opportunity to observe astronomical phenomena together such as Saturn, galaxies, star clusters, and nebulae. Please do not use flashlights or headlamps when joining the event as white light rapidly destroys night vision! Red light flashlights/headlamps are acceptable. This event is weather dependent and will not take place if there is rain or if the sky is very cloudy. This event takes place on the nights of August 28th, 29th, and 30th from 8:00pm - 10:00pm. Mew Lake Campground Beach (at km 30.6).
