Algonquin Provincial Park - Kearney Lake Campground

Join Alex, Joey, and Ailsa as they lead an adventure in search of the incredible insects of the unique and historic airfield site. Critter-catching session to follow! Nets will be provided. Guided walk lasts about 1.5 hours. Old Railway Bike Trail Parking Lot at Mew Lake Campground (at km 30.6).

Join members of the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada (Toronto Centre) for a night of stargazing, on the Mew Lake beach (near sites 67, 70). If you have binoculars or a telescope, please feel free to bring them along! You will have the opportunity to observe astronomical phenomena together such as Saturn, galaxies, star clusters, and nebulae. Please do not use flashlights or headlamps when joining the event as white light rapidly destroys night vision! Red light flashlights/headlamps are acceptable. This event is weather dependent and will not take place if there is rain or if the sky is very cloudy. This event takes place on the nights of August 28th, 29th, and 30th from 8:00pm - 10:00pm. Mew Lake Campground Beach (at km 30.6).

Join Alex as he dives into the extraordinary lives of Algonquin's loons. Afternoon Programs are 45 minutes in length. Algonquin Visitor Centre (at km 43).

Join expert bird guides Kevin and Liam and Joey as they
lead an exploration through unique habitats to find many of Algonquin's migratory and resident birds. Binoculars Provided. Bring your binoculars if you have them. No dogs allowed. Walk will last about 2 hours. Old Railway Bike Trail Parking Lot
