Avid fisherman Jack Baldwin signs up to be a Fire Ranger thinking he will spend the summer getting paid to fish. He soon learns the hard work, teamwork, and techniques necessary for fighting forest fires, attending bootcamp at Pancake Bay and responding to wildfires in Northern Ontario. Historical vignettes compare Jack’s life as a Fire Ranger in the 1990s to that of the 1920s. Program is 1 hour in Length. Outdoor Theatre (at km 35.4).

Concert pianist and composer Gergő Teleki returns to the Algonquin Park Outdoor Theatre to share some music among the lakes and towering pines, classical timeless melodies and his own narrative compositions woven together with the pieces that have moved listeners for generations. Come settle in as the music meets the stillness of the Algonquin forest. All are welcome. This program is weather dependent and is subject to cancellation in the event of rain or thunderstorms.
