Join former Friends of Killbear President and fluent Anishinaabemowin speaker Bob Ryckman and begin learning the local Anishinaabek language! We encourage you to bring a notebook and pen, but it is not required.

In partnership with the Parry Sound Tower Hill Heritage Museum, join us for a guided walk along the Killbear's Lighthouse Point Trail.

As we explore the shoreline and forest, you'll learn about the rich Indigenous history of the area and the European settlers who later made Parry Sound their home. Discover how the land, water, and people have been connected for generations while enjoying one of Killbear's most beautiful trails.

Come ready to hike, learn, and connect with the heritage that continues to shape our community today!

Join Park Naturalists at the Amphitheatre at 8pm for a time-travelling adventure through Killbear's history. Meet colourful characters, uncover stories from the past, and enjoy a fun-filled evening of comedy and music. This is one Discovery Program you won't want to miss!
