Park Notice
Blue-green algae (BGA) is a naturally occurring organism found in many water bodies, including many areas of Bass Lake.
If a BGA bloom is confirmed and affects the Bass Lake Provincial Park swimming area, Ontario Parks will work with partner agencies to issue advisories and alerts to help inform the public.
Visitors are encouraged to familiarize themselves with information about blue-green algae and follow recommended precautions.
