Day Use

Wasaga Beach Provincial Park is a day use only park and can get extremely busy, especially during weekends and long weekends.

Wasaga Beach Provincial Park has four beach area locations to choose from. Daily vehicle permits are not transferrable between different locations in the park or municipal parking areas located within the Town of Wasaga Beach. Please ensure you make your booking with care.

Daily vehicle permit information

Beach Areas 3-6

Daily vehicle permits can be booked up to five days in advance of your arrival either online or by phone at Beach Areas 1 - 6. Reservations are required to guarantee your visit to these beach areas.

Important: If you do not book in advance, you risk not being able to enter the park when daily capacity is reached. Ensure your day use spot by reserving early.

Beach Area 3

Beach Area 3 is located on 22nd St. North. This beach area features sandy beaches and is the only location within the provincial park where dogs are permitted on the beach (specific section only).

Amenities: one comfort station, ‘No Wake Zone’ from mid-June to Labour Day, on-leash dog beach and picnic areas, paved parking lot with gravel sections, charcoal disposal pits in the parking lots.

Accessible features: accessible washroom stalls, Mobi-Mat (available mid-June to Thanksgiving).

Beach Area 4

Beach Area 4 is located on 24th ST. North and features sandy beaches and shallow waters for bathing. The park-like landscape offers plenty of opportunities for recreation.

Amenities: one comfort station, large playground, bike path, ‘No Wake Zone’ from mid-June to Labour Day, on-leash dog friendly picnic areas, pet-free beach and water areas, paved parking lot with gravel sections, charcoal disposal pits in the parking lots.

Accessible features: accessible washroom stalls, Mobi-Mat (available mid-June to Thanksgiving).

Beach Area 5

Beach Area 5 is located at the intersection of Sunnidale Rd. North and Linda Lane. It features sandy beaches and shallow waters for bathing. The large park-like landscape offers plenty of opportunities for recreation.

Amenities: two comfort stations, large playground, bike path, ‘No Wake Zone’ from mid-June to Labour Day, on-leash dog friendly picnic areas, pet-free beach and water areas, paved parking lot with gravel sections, charcoal disposal pits near the parking lots.

Beach Area 6

Beach Area 6 is located on Shore Lane between 48th St. North and 50th St. North. This is the provincial park's smallest beach area and has limited capacity. This beach area features sandy beaches and shallow waters for bathing. The parking area is not paved and can be de difficult to travel due to blowing sand. There is no picnic area in this beach area.

Amenities: two comfort stations, ‘No Wake Zone’ from mid-June to Labour Day, pet-free beach and water areas.

Flush Toilets

Washrooms are located in Beach Areas 3 through 6, during the summer months. No shower or change facilities are available. Washrooms are available at the Wasaga Nordic & Trail Centre during the winter months.

Park Store

Ontario Parks merchandise can be purchased at the Park Office located at 11-22nd St. year-round.

Rentals

Cross-country ski, snowshoe, and fat bike rentals are available during the winter months at the Wasaga Nordic & Trail Centre.

Personal Floatation Devices (PFDs) are available to rent with a refundable deposit. PFDs are available at the gatehouses located at Beach Areas 3 through 6. All-terrain wheelchairs are available at the Park Office on a first-come, first-served basis (a refundable deposit is required).
