Dogs:
Agawa Rock is an active sacred site. Local Indigenous communities/First Nations have requested that dogs not be present at the Agawa Rock Pictographs, for cultural reasons. Visitors intending to bring their dog are advised to bring another human companion to take turns waiting with the dog while the other person walks down to the pictographs site. There are benches available near the Agawa Rock trailhead where visitors can alternate waiting with their dog. Dogs are permitted on other park trails, provided they are kept on a leash not exceeding 2 meters.
Off-leash Pet Exercise Areas are located at Agawa Bay north of the campground, near the Visitor Centre, and at the north end of Old Woman Bay. Please note that the beach directly in front of the Agawa Bay Campground, Katherine Cove, and the area south of the Pet Exercise Area at Old Woman Bay are designated as Swimming Areas. Pets are not permitted past the treeline in these areas, even if they are on a leash.
