Forever protected: why Holland Landing Prairie belongs
Our “Forever protected” series shares why each and every park belongs in Ontario Parks. In today’s post, Zone Ecologist Corina Brdar tells us Holland Landing Prairie’s story.

Beach accessibility at Ontario Parks
Beaches can be an accessibility challenge for park visitors using walkers or wheelchairs. Because of the soft sand, wheels and legs of walkers can sink in, making them tough to maneuver.
As a part of our commitment to making parks as accessible as possible, more parks are offering beach accessibility measures to help visitors explore our shorelines.

Welcome to White Lake!
Our park is a hidden gem located along Highway 17 in the heart of northwestern Ontario. We’re about 60 km east of the Township of Marathon, and 35 km west of the Township of White River (approximately a four-hour drive to either Sault Ste. Marie or Thunder Bay).
