Old Ranger
Cabin Rental Program
The interior of Algonquin Park is dotted with ranger cabins, built
in the early to mid-1900s. In the past, these cabins were used
by park rangers who were responsible for patrolling sections of
the park.
Today, 14
rustic cabins in the park's interior are available for rent to
the public. Most can accommodate up to four visitors while two
can hold larger groups. Cabins are equipped with only basic amenities.
All have fire extinguishers, wash basin, pail, shovel, broom,
bunks, CSA approved wood stove, table and chairs and
an outside closed-in toilet. Five of the cabins are accessible
by car. The remainder can be reached by one or two day's canoeing.
