Lake Superior Coastline

Making a Reservation by Phone - General Information

The telephone service is offered 14 hours a day, 7a.m. to 9p.m. EST, 363 days a year in both official languages, (closed Christmas and New Years day).

You can use the telephone service to book campsites, backcountry sites, cabins, yurts and cottages operated by or for Ontario Parks.

Site specific reservations are available at 77 parks, payment at the time of booking for all camping fees will be required for this service.

Random campsite reservations only require the payment of the reservation fee at the time of booking unless paying by cheque or money order of which payment of all fees will be required at the time of booking.

Bookings will be accepted up to 5 months in advance of your arrival, which means campers can call on November 1, 2010 to make a reservation for April 1, 2011, or for example February 1, 2011 for July 1, 2011.

Reservations cannot be changed or cancelled more than 4 months in advance of your arrival.

The fee for one vehicle is included in your campsite permit - all other vehicles must purchase an "Additional Vehicle Permit" at the time of registration. The number of additional vehicles permitted on a campsite is limited by the park and vehicles may have to be parked in a separate designated "parking lot" located away from your campsite.

When making a telephone reservation, you will be asked for the following information:

  • park name
  • email address
  • arrival/departure dates
  • type of site required (hydro, tent or trailer, lakefront etc.)
  • your name, address, postal code and telephone number
  • number in the party
  • method of payment (e.g. credit card number and expiry date)

Paying for Reservations or Camping Fees

For your convenience, payment for telephone reservations can be made using Visa, Mastercard, Amex, cheque or money order.

If you qualify for an Ontario Senior or Ontario Disabled Persons discount, you must bring proof of your eligibility when you arrive at the park.
